Marlborough Pinot Noir 2008

Nautilus Marlborough Pinot Noir 2008 is dark ruby in colour and shows an aroma of wild raspberries, plums and spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with generous fruit sweetness and succulent tannins combining to give a long warm finish. The primary fruit components showing in the wines youth will further develop and integrate over the next five years as the wine matures.

"Highly Recommended" - Winewise

“The perfect drinking pinot noir. It’s clearly a high quality pinot and yet it’s not so complex that it’s challenging to enjoy – this impresses you straight up, but then lets you just settle down and lap its luxury. It tastes of dark plums, cherries, cedary oak and minerals. It feels satiny on your tongue – and lingers beautifully once you’ve swallowed it. Joyous drinking. POINTS: 94 VALUE: four drops DRINK: 2010 - 2015"  Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh, The Big Red Wine Book 2010/2011 (Aus), 1 June 2010

"Nautilus combines concentrated red and dark fruit with high-quality oak and a touch of funky complexity. Campbell thought it "rich and complex. It has power and weight and good structure. I liked the sweet fruit and ripe tannins." I found a little warmth from alcohol, but this contributes to the richness and mouth-feel without upsetting the balance. There's good length, too. It's delicious now and will gain more complexity over at least three years." Nick Bulleid MW, Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine (Aus), February/March 2010
