Nautilus Estate Pinot Gris 2007
- "At 14 per cent alcohol, more than 6g/l of residual sugar...Surely a bit of a crowd-pleaser? Well, it's certainly an appealing wine, but it combines pleasures of the flesh - and lovely pear and peachy flesh it is too - with a more cerebral nutty, musky side. The combination is extremely alluring - ideal Chinese food wine. Drink 2008-2010."

"Bright, ripe aromas and flavours and white flesh stone fruits and light peach and apple. There is also a hint of white spice. The palate is warm and fruity with an almost hot apple juice and white pepper flavour followed by fleshy stone fruit and pear juice. A tasty wine well suited to fragrant Asian fare and raw fish."

Salad-matching whites - "Its
extra time on yeast lees has given this wine a truly gorgeous texture. It'll age but I'd have it now with lemon and coriander."
