Marlborough Chardonnay 2009

The 2009 Nautilus Chardonnay is pale straw in colour with a lifted aroma of tropical fruit and melon supported by toasty oak. On the palate grapefruit/citrus flavours are integrated with nutty/biscuit characters derived from indigenous fermentation and lees stirring. This wine has a tight mineral structure in its youth and develops a creamy texture as it matures.

Nautilus Marlborough Chardonnay 2009

91 points -"A richer chardonnay, this all-round style offers texture and richness with handy balance: plenty of stone fruits, peaches and cream, with citrusy elements on offer too. Oak adds weight and chew through the palate, where fruit has soft, rolling appeal: flavours of baked stone fruits and pastry." Nick Stock, Good Wine Guide 2012

"Elegant, concentrated wine with integrated white peach, apple, citrus, bread crust and nutty oak flavours. It’s linear, with a length finish and an ethereal texture. Like many of the Nautilus range, it’s made with a light touch." Bob Campbell MW, Gourmet Traveller WINE Magazine (Aus), August/September 2011

91 points - "A rich and ripe Chardonnay. Plenty of stone fruits - think peaches and cream, with citrusy elements threaded through. The oak adds weight and flavour to soft rich fruit. Finishes with pasty / baking spices." Nick Stock, WBM Wine 100 (Aus), July 2011
