Marlborough Chardonnay 2007

The Nautilus Chardonnay is pale straw in colour with an aroma of melon and grapefruit supported by toasty oak. On the palate citrus flavours are integrated with cashew nut, biscuit and mealy characters derived from indigenous fermentation and lees stirring. This wine has a tight mineral structure in its youth and develops a creamy texture as it matures.

Nautilus Estate Marlborough Chardonnay 2007

"And from Marlborough, a slightly crisper example of Chardonnay, with just a thought of grand cru Chablis. Bouquet could not be more varietal, with its pale stonefruit and careful barrel-ferment, less autolysis and malolactic complexities again combining to produce an aroma reminiscent of best baguette. Palate is neat and light, not a big wine, but persisting attractively in the mouth. This too will cellar 2 - 6 years." Vic Williams, Wine NZ Magazine (NZ), October 2008
